My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

LUCKY, LUCKY ME !!

Hi Everyone

I hope today has been a good day for you.

It has been a very lucky day for me .. .. but more about that later .. .. first I will show you my share for the day.

This used:

Backing Paper:  Raspberry Road
Sizzix Die:  "656521" Flower with Leaves and Stem #2
Go Kreate Die:  "160014" Large Frames - Scalloped Squares
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists:  Simply Khaki, Pink Ink and Iridescent Gold
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
Clear Embossing Powder
My Trusty Sewing Machine
Ribbon, eyelets and cord from the Stash Box

I decided that I didn't have time for any colouring today so thought I would grab my Glimmer Mists for a change.  Something I don't use enough!!!

Cutting the Flower and Leaf Sizzix Die out twice from extra thick card I used them as a mask for my background .. .. .. misting with all three of the Glimmer Mists.  Left with two "spattled" flowers I decided to clear emboss one of them multiple times to make it super shiny.

The second flower had its leaves pruned and I stuck to an acrylic block and used it as a stamp.  I love how you can see the texture of the card in the impression.

So .. .. .. why am I a lucky girl today?

Well I found my missing nestie .. .. yay!!!

Who am I blaming?  Well that would be James .. .. as you can see below

This is my very well worn and very loved little nestie

This is where I found it

Attached to the back of James!!!

I spent ages searching and looking for this little blighter last night and at "daft o'clock" this morning until in the end I decided I had wasted enough time and would just have to order another set as I needed it to finish an order for Monday!!

I did my "on-line" search and was all ready to order when my bacon was saved.  I decided to have one last check amongst the order where I "thought" I could remember using it last .. .. .. and my search produced the little beauty .. .. I had clearly missed it the last time because it was firmly attached to the back of James and was hardly visible!!  Phew!!!  I can keep my pennies a little longer.

I hate losing things!!!

But I did at least have a good old tidy up whilst searching.  Not easy looking for things when you craft all over the house and on multiple projects every day!!  LOL!!!

A few people have emailed to ask about my Snippet card on Sunday and whether the script on my card was part of the backing paper or whether I had used a stamp.

It was actually a stamp I have had for a few years now from Elusive Images "32531" Script Background.

So that is me for today

Off into that kitchen now.  Hubby is at the football for one of the best games of the season .. .. I am making quiches whilst listening on the radio.

See you tomorrow

Love

I'm so glad you found that die, Jules, naughty James for hiding it like that. I hate losing things too. We bought DD a Hello Kitty toy for the top of her Xmas stocking and come Xmas Eve night I couldn't find it and we spent about two hours at silly o'clock xmas morning looking for it. She has to have a cuddly toy sticking out of it, it's tradition. Anyway, in the end we went to bed and I was so upset that tradition had been broken and wondering what on earth had happened to it. Next morning DD is merrily opening all her pressies and lo and behold there is Hello Kitty. DH had wrapped her up and put her inside the stocking without realising her significance!!!!! How we laughed!!!
Love your glimmer mist card, what a clever way of using that die, you are so inventive.
I'll be round for a quiche, yummy, lol

Wow! Jules, this is amazing. Love it! I once lost a die and searched high and low, even in the bin. It was inbetween two paper pads.

Wow - a stunner of a card Jules! Now my Glimmer mists are glaring tauntingly at me! And a big sigh of relief from here that your Nestie was merely very attached to James :)

Did I smell quiche? Yummy!! I'll be there ASAP!!

So pleased to see you found that favourite die - it would have been a pity to have to buy the complete set to replace it. The card is stunning and absolutely full of great ideas - and bonus, yet another use for cardboard :) Thanks for your earlier comment - the EM couldn't get in my little cubbyhole of a room before so he is well-pleased he not only can get in the new craft room but he has his very own chair too :) As for having enough stash, well, can you ever have too much? Hope your day is turning out well. Elizabeth x

This is a fun looking card, Jules! Love the extra dimension! I'm always losing things on my desk but I think it's because my desk is always a horrible mess but next time I loose a nestie I shall be sure to look for the cut item and see if it's still attached! Usually of course I can't find the cut item anyway. Hugs, Lesley
