My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

A SPARKLY NEW BABY

Hi Everyone

I hope you have all had a lovely Saturday.

My afternoon was spent with a lovely new "happy couple" followed by a little shopping trip for baby goodies ahead of visiting a sparkly, shiny new baby boy tomorrow.

So tonight I needed to make a little card to go alongside my baby goodies and to welcome a lovely new person into our world.

This used:

Image:  Digistamp Boutique
Sentiment:  Computer Generated
Backing Papers:  Wild Rose Studio
Martha Stewart Punch:  Traditional Scallop
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
My Trusty Sewing Machine
ProMarkers  (chalk for the rosy cheeks).
Ribbon from the Stash Box

Laura asked me the other day what colour Promarker I use to shade the cheeks of my little characters. Well actually I don't use my markers for those .. .. I use my chalks as I haven't managed to master the technique with my markers unfortunately.

I am also going to enter this card into the Digistamp Boutique customer competition for March.

OK time for supper and a sit down with my lovely hubby.

I will catch you again tomorrow with my snippet make and a report on how super cute and cuddly baby Matthew was!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Love

Brilliant Jules! Super for a baby boy and I think you've cracked it by using chalks for cheeks - much softer and one to try here :) Di xx

What a lovely little card for baby Matthew James, Jules & such a sweet image. Is he a new member of your family or friends? Thanx for the comment on my "playset" post. I'm lucky 'cos Janis comes to get me & drives me home again after, good job too as I looked a right mess by the end of the day!

Hi Jules, what a gorgeous card. I love the papers you've used. Thanks for joining us for our monthly competition over at DSB. Hugs, Denise x
For colouring cheeks I use pastel pink promarker before I blend my last colour (ivory) and I find it takes away any harsh lines - hope this helps :)
