My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

SUNDAY SNIPPETS

Hi Everyone

I hope your Sunday is proving to be a good one and you are managing to keep warm and snuggly.

We still have lots of snow .. . although it does seem to have stopped falling now!  For how long we will have to wait and see.

My lovely hubby and I got married on the 29th March and the weather was just like this during the week running up to our "special day". Everyone at work was pulling my leg and saying our wedding photographs will be like a quiz where people have to play "spot the bride". Thankfully the the snow disappeared for "the big day" but apparently it was bitter cold.  For some reason hubby and I never noticed .. .. our love must have been keeping us warm.

Anyway, after that soppy trip down memory lane here is my snippet make for this week for taking over to Pixie's Crafty Snippet Challenge.

As always I am lazy on a Sunday and don't list my ingredients but I will share with you a link which shows you how I made the flower (this was done in bed this morning using ends of ribbon from my ribbon leftovers drawer).  Yep .. .. even ribbon snippets in the House of Hearts LOL!!

My flower hasn't turned out too bad for a first attempt.  I won't be showing these to my "happy couples" though.  I wouldn't want to sit and make 100's of them!

You will see on the tutorial that they use twine for the spokes but I used very narrow ribbon in a similar colour for mine.  You can probably see that if you look closely.

I am looking forward to another play with this tutorial as I have a few little ideas running round in my head of other looks I could achieve.

Here is the link if you fancy having a go

I must admit to having tried to make flowers similar to this before simply by adding glue to a circle of cardboard .. .. but I think the spokes make this a much easier flower to make.

Enjoy the rest of your day and I'll catch again soon.

Love

Wow that is one gorgeous flower Jules. Love the colours on this card too. Hubbie and I for married in April and it was freezing the week before too, they even heated the church as my nan who was well into her nineties was going. On the morning of our wedding it was s hot, my nan and aunt had to buy new outfits as they would have roasted otherwise lol. Hugs, Amanda x
