My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

SUNDAY SNIPPETS

Hi Everyone

Well everything got moved yesterday .. .. with rain stopping play on a few occasions!!  Typical!!!

Some belongings that we have been storing here in the House of Hearts have even made their way from our house today .. .. so we are slowly getting back to normal.

My snippet share for taking to Pixie's Crafty Snippet Playground this week is a card I made for my lovely DIL's birthday .. .. .. which she will be celebrating today.  Happy Birthday Cat!!!  Although I did cheat and made this little creation earlier in the week as it needed to be posted off to London.  It was opened early this morning and my DIL "lurved it".  (She is a very clever and prolific knitter .. .. hence the theme .. .. though she doesn't look anything like a chicken I hasten to add LOL!!!).

As always I am lazy on a Sunday and do not list my ingredients but as you know you can always ask if you want to know anything about it.

Do you like my little knitting pins?  I made them from two cocktail sticks and beads.

I was wanting to do a longer strip of knitting but sadly my "real" knitting pins were buried at the back of the pantry behind lots of items we were storing ahead of the move, so instead I had to physically knit on cocktail sticks!! LOL!!!  Not easy as they were a bit rough and kept snagging the wool.  But never mind .. .. the result looked OK.

Well I think my batter mix is ready for pouring into the oven now ready to make a Yorkshire Pudding to have with our evening meal  and if my eyes stay open long enough I am hoping for a saunter around blogland later.

Hope your are all enjoying your Bank Holiday break.

Love

I love this stamp! Oh by the way - you should have tried bamboo kebab sticks as an alternative knitting needle as they are pretty smooth :-)

Absolutely brilliant, I love it.
Certainly brought a smile.

Weather not good here but hubby is taking Hazel and I up to the Papetrie just outside Aberdeen so we can have root through their crafty things. Do think he might give us a few pennies to spend? It was Hazel's birthday yesterday this might just be his treat for her.
Have a great day

Fantastic Jules! Love the image and sentiment - a perfect card.

And as for the knitting - I've done that one as well (you did it so much better) but you sure were determined when you actually used the cocktail sticks to knit with. I tried that the first time I made a sheep card and added knitting, fine knitting needles sure are much easier - as I found out very rapidly!

Hugs, Di xx

Such a fun card, Jules! It says a lot about your DIL's great sense of humor!! I'm not a knitter, but I'm pinning this for all the knitters of the world who happen to be card artists, because those toothpick knitting needles of yours need to be seen by the WORLD! Squee!

You get the innovator of the year award! Oh wait, you get that EVERY time!!

(PS Glad the move is behind you!)
