My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

I MUST BE IMPROVING

Hi Everyone

Happy Tuesday!

No teeny tiny make today but a normal sized one that uses a stamp that hasn't appeared on my blog before .. .. even though it has been in my collection for quite some time.

I have tried to use this stamp so many times it is unbelievable, and never been happy with the finished look .. .. even though I have tried over and over again.

So unhappy with the stamp, and my pathetic attempts of using it successfully, it was relegated to the back of the Penny Black drawer - but over the weekend I decided it was time to "give it another go".

AT LAST!!!  Something I am happy with .. .. my colouring must be improving and the stamp can now come to the front of the drawer for more use LOL!!  Yippee!!

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "1656K" Stitch in Time
Sentiment:  Pink Petticoat (no longer available - sorry)
Backing Papers:  Docrafts "Kraft Notes"
Martha Stewart Edge Punch:  Daisy
ProMarkers
My Trusty Sewing Machine
Ribbon from my crafty stash box

There is another Penny Black stamp in my collection that I struggle with too.  Perhaps it is time to give that one a go too and see if I have improved enough to be happy with that yet.

Enjoy your day everyone.

I am loving having cards lined up ready for posting .. .. .. really must try and do this more often.

Love

Good morning Jules
I was just about to log off when your beautiful/stunning card popped up!!
I have this stamp and it was next on my list at PB Saturday for Friends - snap!! I won't make it now though as it will simply not compare to your work of art - I wonder why you have not been happy with it before now?
There are quite a few PB stamps in my collection but there is one that I am eager to buy - Sew Much Fun - mice dancing on a sewing machine. It is very rare and I keep my eye on EBay for a pre loved one. I wonder if there are any PB stamps on your wish list?
I am delighted to see your gorgeous creations again Jules thanks for sharing them and I hope you have a fabulous day

JULES!!! You've been here and I haven't! I was here and you weren't!
Now we're here together! (But I'm going again very soon!)
Great card this - love the embroidery frame - their stitching is certainly neater than mine! Hope all is well in the House of Hearts.xx

First off you are so talented Jules, that I can't believe you struggled with this stamp! But it is good to know, since I struggle all the time. lol So I makes me feel good to know that someone as talented as you are struggles as well. Your card is a delight! I love that image and so glad you triumphed over it! You have indeed colored it up so cute, although I always have loved your coloring! Beautiful papers and ribbon as well. Hugs, Brenda

Hello Jules, I am so glad you persevered with this stamp. I can see why it would be tricky to colour. However, it is gorgeous, and I really like how the background papers echo the 'embroidery'. I have quite a few stamps I have left neglected because of the disappointment with the finished result. I am sure there's a gap in the challenge market here, lol. Have a good week. Lynn x
