A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hi Everyone

Happy New Year!  I hope that it is going to be a happy and super crafty one for everyone.

No super rash promises/resolutions from this end .. .. for the first time ever .. .. because I know this year is going to be super chaotic before I even get start on it.  Mainly down to Mr Heart who is taking early retirement at the end of March .. .. and I get the feeling that my life is about to change big time.

I hope you all had a wonderful and happy Christmastime.  Did anyone else give themselves blisters by needing to chop far too many vegetables?

Christmas in the house of hearts was lovely, with my little nest nice and full again as all the family came home .. .. just for a while.  But now they have all flown away again. Boo hoo!!

But I suppose all good things must come to an end .. .. and soon I will be back into the old routine for just a few weeks, before retirement chaos hits .. .. but not until all those sheets and towels have been laundered and I get my crafty pod back into some sense of tidiness.

Just a quick birthday card to share today that was put together on the dining room table because I couldn't get to the desk or my sewing machine in the craft pod .. .. ..

This used:

Sizzix Thinlits Die Set "664163" Wildflower Stems #1
Paper Smooches Wise Dies "FBD120" Birthday Words
Make & Create Paper Pad "Sweet Colours"
Distress Oxide Ink Pads:  Frayed Burlap, Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries
Unbranded stitched square die set

The lovely Sizzix Die Set was delivered by Santa and I have been itching to cut and colour it all Christmas.  Today I finally got the chance.

Happy new year wishes .. .. ..

Such a pretty card Jules, I love the contrast of the pale pink flower and dark blue bakground - a super sentiment, a great font.
Things will certainly be different when Mr H retires but you will soon settle into your new life together - it was the best thing my Husband ever did and his early retirement was not planned, it was an opportunity that was too good to miss.
Wishing you a happy, healthy and crafty New Year.

Happy New Year Jules. Back to normal for us tomorrow after we've taken the Christmas tree down but we haven't even started the Christmas cake yet and I'm wanting to lose a bit of weight too! I hope hubby will enjoy his retirement, I know mine loves it and always finds plenty to do x

A very Happy New Year to you too Julie. A really great card, super dies, especially the sentiment one, don't often see those. Great background borders, like the choice of black and white.

Good Luck on Hubby's retirement, First words in the morning could be "What are we doing today"?

I am just going to pop to ?????? Oh right "I'll come with you"

Where ever we go "I'll drive"
I could go on but.....
