A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

A NEW WAY OF LIFE

Hi Everyone

I hope you are all keeping safe during these scary times.

The news on the TV has started off this morning by saying we now all have "a new way of life" .. .. well it is definitely true here in the House of Hearts .. .. .. I have just waved Mr Heart off to work for the last time .. .. EVER!

He hasn't been working on a Monday for a long time now, but yesterday he got a message from his boss to say that everyone was now going to be working from home .. .. so this morning he has left to go and collect his belongings and the work he is going to do from home for the remaining two weeks of his employment!

What a strange end to his working life (not that I won't be having him working once his retirement hits!  LOL!!!).

So once he returns home in a few hours time we are excited to think that we are hopefully going to  be spending every day together now for years and years and years to come!  No more alarm clocks, no more checking every morning to see whether traffic jams mean he needs to travel via the "back route", and no more making "pack-up" the night before in readiness for an early get away (not that I ever made the "pack-up" that was Mr Heart's responsibility).

Just a few more days of him working from home then he will be "all mine" .. .. yay!!!  A time we have been looking forward to for a long time now (not that we are going to be allowed to travel anywhere and the celebrations I had been secretly planning and saving for have all had to be scrapped!) but never mind.  There will be plenty of time for that later .. .. .. I hope!
.
I am sharing a quick, teeny tiny, card today (a whole 3.5 inches square for anyone new to my blog)

A short little list for a very little card.

I hope you and your loved ones all keep safe.

An adorable card Jules, such a cute image.
How exciting for you Jules, it's a shame that Mr H will not be able to say his goodbyes as planned and that your celebrations will have to be postponed, at least you will have him safe at home with you. I hope your Mum is OK, I'm glad my Mum is not at home with us at the moment - my eldest, that still lives at home, is a teacher so he is still working as normal and worrying about infecting the rest of us!
Take care and enjoy your new life together.

Ah Jules - we were both VERY fortunate to have retired very young-the job meant we could finish at 49 and 50 and we opted not to work but simply to tighten our belts and live in our means - and it is a decision we have never regretted.
It has been wonderful to have been together almost every single day, to be able to do what we want together and not have to worry about alarm clocks and the like! I wish you both a fantastic 'retirement' and even if things change so much from what we are used to, you will have each other.
(Lovely cute card by the way!) xx

You do these tiny cards so well - I find them very daunting and rarely do anything less than 6 x 6. Mind you if I'm confined to barracks for months maybe I will be making smaller cards as my stocks dwindle. Not sure what I'm going to do with the loads of cards I might be making as 'therapy' but I expect they will find homes eventually. Stay safe and enjoy your 'together' time.

Hello dear. No need to ask if you’re ok as you seem extremely excited. What an exciting time you are heading for. I hope your mum is well. My.mum is living in a Care home at the moment.....we never mention the word ‘permanent’ to her! Unfortunately she is on lockdown at the moment so we can’t see her which is very upsetting. Hey ho we plod on x

What a cute little bear and such a sweet card Jules. We had booked a holiday in North Yorkshire Moors in May, so we had to cancel it today. Hopefully we will go later in the year. We are staying home for a few weeks, as we are the age that are most likely to die from the virus.
Take care and stay safe.
Big hugs, Carol S.xxxx

A super cute card Jules. Here's hoping your hubby has plenty of interests to keep him busy and not under your feet :). It's 4 years since we both retired and most days we seem to have plenty to do, but I think more indoors time at the moment x

How wonderful for you to have your hubby at home with you. My hubby and I were very lucky to both be able to retire early and I have loved (and still love) every moment we spend together. Take care xx

This is beautiful sweetie i love the colours you have chosen for him, enjoy every minute of your time with hubby <3

Mine is off school for the next 14 weeks so far so having him here is great even though he is bored but he is glued to his laptop replying to messages, but better that than stuck in school..

Hugs Pops x
