A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

FIRST RECTANGULAR SKETCH

Hi Everyone

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Some of my time was spent starting off a new sketch tab on my blog .. .. .. this time it is going to be for rectangular cards.

I seem to be making quite a few of these shaped cards recently and my square sketches just don't work for me in the right way on them ... ... so here we go with my first rectangular sketch.

As with my square sketches, please feel free to use these rectangular ones if you like the look of any of them.

and this is how it can look:

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "3347H" Duckling
Backing Papers:  Craft Sensations "Sweet Romance"
ProMarkers
X-Cut Flower Punch
Ribbon
Nail Heads
My Trusty Sewing Machine

Now I just need to work out how to put a new tab on the top of my blog!  It was easy in the old version, just hoping I can work it out in this new one!

Hope I don't accidentally trash my blog!

If I do .. .. .. .. it has been truly, truly wonderful knowing you all.

Your card is lovely, and thanks for a rectangular sketch ! I mostly make rectangular cards, because in Belgium we have to pay double postage for square cards.... These last weeks I was busy making "slimline" cards. Hugs, Enny

Just love this duck with his bunch of flowers - so cute and great rectangular sketch which I would think could well be extended to fit the latest trend for DL cards. Good luck with making adjustments to your blog, we wouldn't want to lose you from Blogland 😉

This is such a wonderful sketch and a resulting beautiful card! I love that silly little duck holding a beauiful bouquet of flowers but the perfect little bow with a flower on top just won me over. The tiny nail heads are such a cute addition too! I hate when they update in blogland too - I'm not that computer savvy to begin with, but I hold my breath many times over while trying to change things! Good luck!

Yay! I'm so glad to see your rectangular sketch! If I keep my square at 4 1/4 by 4 1/4 then it will fit in an A2 envie and I don't have to pay extra postage. But if I make it bigger, then I have to pay extra postage. So I don't make many square cards. Loving this sketch my friend and love your adorable card! I have always love these little duck images and this one is so cute with his flowers. Love that striped pink paper too! Hugs, Brenda

That's a lovely sketch and card Jules. Whenever I make a rectangular card I often get stuck as to the layout so your designs will come in handy, thank you x

Lovely sketch Jules! Don't you just hate it when they change things! The "Tabs" are Pages - underneath "Earnings" on the left side. Once you've set them up you may need to add them to the "Layout" as well. I set mine up on the "Cross-Column 1". The biggest problem I had with this new version was that the creepy looking oval with a dot in the middle is supposed to be an eye and indicates "preview" and the thing nest to it that looks like a camera(??) is in fact supposed to be a floppy disk and indicates Save. Honesty nobody has used floppy disks this century I'm sure! What's wrong with the word SAVE! Good luck!

Phew you are still here so you didn't mess up the blog. I hate changing mine round now, it was easy on old blogger. What a cute wee card, I love the image you have gone for. I will need to have a play with your sketch as it looks brilliant, H xx
