My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

SUNDAY SNIPPETS

Hi Everyone

I hope your Sunday has been a good one.

We have had sunshine followed by big rain showers on repeat all day .. .. .. so I was very happily able to turn my back on the laundry basket and ignore it!  Yay!!!

Instead I continued on my crafty tidy up campaign and when it came to my snippet mountain I decided to use a few of the black and white ones to create this:

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "3859H" Corner Piece
White Embossing Powder
My Trusty Sewing Machine
and a few black and white snippets

Unable to stamp so that everything joined together beautifully, I stamped and embossed the image four times and cut each into squares to piece them together .. .. .. hence the join lines.

I hope you see the hearts that I see?

I am taking this over to:

Pixie's Snippets Playground Challenge .. .. where we are encouraged to use our snippets rather than cutting into new sheets of card etc.  (everything on my card was a snippet apart from the base card).

and

The Penny Black Saturday Challenge where the theme is always "anything goes as long as it includes a Penny Black goodie" or there is an optional theme of "Monochrome" .. .. which I went for.

So that is me for today.

Before I go I would just like to say "thank you" for the lovely comments I received on the "retiform" card that I posted.  Quite a few of you asked and emailed for a tutorial.  There are lots on YouTube but I came up with another .. .. "much simpler" way to create the effect which I didn't see anywhere else.  I am hoping to share that with everyone later this week.

In the meantime enjoy what is left of your weekend and continue to stay safe.

A dramatic black and shite design, beautifully matched. I guess it would be virtually impossible to line up things with that wood-mounted stamp. So looking forward to your tutorial for the simplified retiform technique.
