My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

I WILL APOLOGISE BEFORE I START !!

Hi Everyone

I will begin with a huge apology for the condition of the totally rubbish picture below.

I have tried to take a photograph at various parts of the day and this is the best of a bad lot!!! But I decided it was better than nothing.

This morning it never seemed to get properly light before I had to set off for work. The snow was making it very dark and by the time I got home tonight it was pitch black anyway. Oh well!! I tried my best.

The snow hasn't been too bad today. We were warned of really bad snow fall last night and hubby and I were secretly hoping to be snowed in together for about 3 weeks LOL!!! When the alarm went off at about 5.30am hubby dashed to the window and then said "Not enough snow to class us as snowed in" I then went down the route of "only drive if your journey is really necessary - but I decided my boss would consider my journey to be "necessary". LOL!!

Here is my grotty picture:

This used:

Image: Penny Black 3377K "Whispers"
Sentiment: Penny Black from the "Critter Party" set
Background Paper: Laura Ashley "Traditional" by Trimcraft
Paper Piecing on flower: Pink Petticoat

Martha Stewart Punch: Embossed Zig Zag
Promarkers
Gem and Nailhead: Josy Rose
Cord and ribbon from the stash box

I am convinced that this card has took longer to photograph than it did to make.

I would like to say "thank you" to Sally for reminding me that I have the Laura Ashley papers sitting in my paper box!! This is one of my favourite papers in the collection. I reminds me of satin look wallpaper.

Well I hope everyone is ok with the snow and that you are all keeping safe and warm.

Take care.

Love Jules xx

Well the light may not be brilliant Jules, but the card is and the mirri board shows up beautifully.

Those papers are lovely I agree. I didn't have them until I saw Sally's post and then when I trudged past the little craft shop near me (to go get dog food) yesterday, they were in the sale at half price so I bought both packs. It will probably be ages before I can bear to cut them up though.

Your photo looks just fine, Jules, it's a beautiful card. I love the softness of it.
The mad dash to the window every morning to inspect the new snow has become a new daily routine hasn't it.
Keep Safe and Warm.
