My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

NOT QUITE SO BRIGHT .. ..

Good Morning All

Not quite so bright this morning .. .. .. but I still managed a quick photograph.

Cards don't get much simpler than this - and yet I am really pleased and really excited about this one. Why?!?!?!?? .. .. .. ..Well a few reasons really.

I don't know about you but I have a mountain of little scraps of paper that I just don't have the heart to throw away because "I am sure they will come in useful one day"!!!

Well this card used up a teeny tiny little bit of that scrap paper so I now envisage this card in a few different colour combinations and my paper pile can reduce slightly.

Also this card is suitable for men, women, boys and girls .. .. .. .. a card for all and it is really quick to make if you are in a hurry!!! Yippee!! If I make about 70 cards like this that will be my birthday cards made for the rest of the year. LOL!!! (Well I don't see that happening).

This used:

Image: Hero Arts CL287 "Big Candles"
Backing Paper: Pink Petticoat
Diamond Stickles
3D Foam Strip
Ribbon and Gems from the stash box

Another reason I love it is that there wasn't lots of fiddly cutting out to do either. All simply cut and the candles were mounted on the card with 3D foam to give a bit of depth. I drew the wick on the candles myself as there wasn't one on the stamp and it looked strange to me to have flames in the air without one!!

I am a bit worried that the flame on the left is a bit close to the ribbon .. .. but hopefully my card won't be a pile of ashes when I get home tonight LOL!!!

Have a good day, whatever you are doing and take care. Thanks for calling by.

Love Jules xx

What a super card Jules, a great use of all your 'saved up' bits.
I'm very good at saving up 'bits', I put them all in a little plastic folder, then at some point in the future, have a clear out.... and end up throwing them out!!!

What a wonderful card and such a simple idea - we all have boxes full of scraps that will 'come in useful' and this is a great way to use them up!
