My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

JULES' SUNDAY SNIPPET CHALLENGE - WEEK 23

Hi Everyone

Here I am at last with my Snippet makes for this week .. .. but sadly there are only two .. .. shame on me!!!!

The shopping excursion with my lovely Sis has cut down the amount of time I had available .. .. but never mind.  Even two snippets are better than none!!

We had a great time buying supplies for our next four ranges of wedding stationery and I also treated myself to a pair of non-stick Fiskars scissors.  They are coated with what I am assuming is teflon to stop adhesive sticking to them.  Oh I do hope they work .. .. I will know by the end of the week as I can usually gunk a pair up in a week!

I have some pairs that I only use for card and paper so these stay nice .. .. but the ones I cut double-sided tape with can get quite nasty so the beginning of a week often starts by cleaning my scissors down with nail varnish remover to get rid of all the sticky bits.

Oh well .. .. we will see how the new scissors fair.

So here are my snippet makes for this week

Again apologies for there only being two.

So who else enjoyed getting rid of the snippets from their craft space this week .. .. .. well a record SEVEN snippeters!!!  Woo hoo!!!  Thank you ladies for keeping me company and sharing your lovely inspiration

Here are the magnificant seven

Katina  -  who made a gorgeous card.  Such lovely colours and using some "really old" paper.  Shame it is so old as I would love some that looks like that!!  Great layout too.

Claire  -  who made three beautiful cards and using such a brilliant technique.   Even the smallest of strips of paper or card can be used up if you follow Claire's example!!  It makes for a lovely colourful end result .. .. love it!!

Carole  -  where the most gorgeous colour combo has come into play.   Such beautiful papers and layout giving a fantastic finished look.    (Wish I had made this one LOL!!).

Jenny  -  this creation is so colourful with a brilliant sentiment and image.  So very neat and I love all the faux stitching too.

Lynne - made a card which looks as though the papers were just "meant" to go together.  If Lynne had said they had come from the same design set I wouldn't have been surprised .. .. but they hadn't and they look great together.  I love the sentiment feature too!

Sandra  -  I think that Sandra is becoming one very serious user of snippets  and is determined to clear her workspace of them.  The card Sandra is sharing this week is so sweet and features "one" of my favourite techniques ... ... paper piecing.  I say "one" of my favourite techniques because I must have at least six!! LOL!!!

Then last but not least:

Kaz  -  who has made such a great personalised card that she has inspired me to get my die cut alphabet out for next week.   Thanks Kaz xx

So many lovely playmates and such great inspiration .. .. .. thank you ladies.

I hope that you all get chance to pay visits to everyone.  This is a lovely way to find new blogs that carry wonderful inspiration and lovely blog owners.

Thank you so much for calling by to see what I have been up to and I will catch you again tomorrow.

Tonight should see me catching up on some of my blog visiting and hopefully leaving some comments.  Is anyone else having problems again?   I keep posting comments but getting an error message  .. .. grrr!!!

If you decide to play along with your snippets over the course of the next week please link below so that we can all come and see what you have been up to.

Love

Jules, these are beautiful.

Just a tip for you, I wipe the sticky mess off my scissors with Eucalyptus oil, any essential oil will do really, lavender smells lovely and that scent will stay in the room when the cotton ball gets thrown into the bin beside your desk!

You do need to wipe any excess oil off with a tissue once the blades are clean though. The sticky residue comes off much easier with the oil and the smell is way better!

Cheers,

Such beautiful cards Jules, I have that Agapanthus stamp too, don't think it's seem ink yet!! I'm joining in for the first time after popping over from Sandra's blog (she who is the queen of snippet cards!). I used up some scraps of kraft card stock for my card base and made some tiny little cards.

Gorgeous as ever, Jules. You are so clever doing your snippets!! I really should do the same. I've got a box of leftovers which I THINK I'll use and then I always forget to check there first and use a brand new sheet!! Doh!! ps I really LOVE the papers on the first card! xxx

Great snippet cards as always, Jules.
I'm glad your shopping spree went well, you'll have to let us know what you think of your scissors, it's so difficult to find a good pair and keep them sharp isn't it!!
Blogger is keeping us on our toes isn't it. All my Followers had a holiday last week but they are back now thankfully!
