A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES

Hi Everyone

Well can you believe it?

After a grotty few days we have glorious sunshine today . .. . so what do I do?

I shut myself away in my craft pod with a huge "do list" and pull the blinds down to stop the glaring sunshine!!

Let's face it .. .. I don't deserve sunshine do I!!  LOL!!!

Part of my "do list" called for a quick card .. .. so I decided to cut the thinking time down and use the sketch over at Sketch Saturday.

Next I delved into the drawer that is home to my Penny Black stamps because there is "always" something in there I will love using.  At this point I remembered the Penny Black Saturday challenge for September.  Because this is now a monthly challenge my normal Saturday morning ritual of checking the challenge has gone a bit awry .. .. but this week I remembered to check and all I needed to do was "add ribbons and buttons" to my creation.  Hopefully "a" ribbon and "a" button in the singular will suffice LOL!!!

So this is my share:

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "2078H" Birthday Dog
Sentiment:  Pink Petticoat "Happy Birthday Sentiments"
Backing Papers:  Pink Petticoat (part of the new colour collection download.  These were on offer recently with 5 different patterned papers in all the collection colours for £5 . .. but I am not sure if you can get them now or not as the special offer may have ended.  Here is the link if you want to check but I used three of the five here.)
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
ProMarkers, Chalk and Glitter
Ribbon and Button from the Stash Box

Sorry .. .. have just come back to add the sketch.  I love it and will definitely be using it again.

We are out for a meal in a little while as my lovely Sis will be having a HUGE birthday tomorrow and we are celebrating!!!

I have been busy making cards for people to give to her .. .. very difficult making lots of cards for the same person and trying to come up with something different when she sees just about everything I ever make LOL!!

I will share my make for her on Monday when her birthday has come and gone as tomorrow will be snippet day.

Catch you then.

Have a great evening.

Love

Even with the sun shining, it's been cold brrr!! Super card, I like the look of that sketch too, wonder if I'll get time to play with it...

Know what you mean about making multiple cards for the same person, I've had to do that a few times. Most recently 2 wedding cards for the same people, not so bad you'd think.....they both had to have meerkats on them.. yes, I did say meerkats!

Have a lovely time tonight xx

What a sweet card. My dtr would just love it (she's a dog nut!) as I do. You did a fantastic job & I found the heart. I have learned to search for it before I admire the card. (sigh!). This was a great layout for this particular stamp. All in all, a wun-da-ful card. The recipient will love it. TFS

So Cute...

I can imagine how difficult it is to come up with different designs for the same person... its hard enough making one for the grandparents or aunties/uncles when I've already made one to send from me... it has to be done though... well done for getting through it!
