My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I am hoping to share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce always carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

Hi Everyone

Yes, today is the day my lovely has a birthday!!

Happy Birthday Mr Heart .. .. and thank you for being the best hubby a gal could ever wish for!!

I made a special card for him in celebration based on a picture I saw on Pinterest which linked to here.

I didn't find any templates etc but simply cut shapes by hand or by using the Nestabilitie dies listed below.

This used:

Backing Papers:  DCWV "All About Boys" Stack
Sentiment:  Digistamp Boutique "Simple Birthday Greetings - Male"
Nestabiltie Dies:  Classic Circles and Labels Two - everything else hand cut
Hot Fix Studs
Distress Inks
White Gel Pen
Metallic Cord

As I was able to use up my snippets for this creation I am going to strum my way along to Di's Crafty Snippet Challenge.

I am well chuffed with this and hubby was too.  When he opened it he said "that's posh".  I think that means it is a hit  LOL!!!

I will just have to hope that Son number two doesn't want it replicating for all his band mates as I have used the last bit of my wood effect paper.   I will have to keep my eye open for some more!

Have a great day everyone.

Oh Jules, this is truly a stunner!! I know Len would be thrilled to pieces with a card like this - he has five guitars here - it's absolutely PERFECT!!

Wood effect paper - hmm, what about the dolls house section somewhere like Hobbycraft?

I have to wait until October next year for Len's birthday but I'll be following this theme very closely - you clever little sausage (and I prefer it to the one on Pinterest).

And Happy Birthday to Mr Heart for today.

Love, Di xx

What a fabulous card Jules, I might have to 'borrow' this design for my son's card next year - he plays guitar and sings in a band - it was his birthday today as well. I think "that's posh" means it was a definite hit. Happy Birthday to Mr Heart.
