My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

SKETCH SATURDAY

Hi Everyone

I hope you have all been having a lovely Sunday.

All nice and relaxed here in the House of Hearts .. .. I hope it is a sign of what is to come!!  I could handle a few days like this that's for sure.

Today I have finished off the card I started yesterday but unfortunately have not had a play with my snippets.  Other things took over .. .. .. but no doubt the snippets will be out another day.

So for now here is the finished entry for Sketch Saturday this week.   I did move the sentiment as it looked "off balance" when I put it where the sketch wanted it (the fault of my choice of image .. not the sketch).  Hopefully this is allowed but if not then I understand.

This used:

Image:  Pixie Dust Studio "Socket the Reindeer" .. .. a lovely freebie I found here
Sentiment:  Computer generated using font "2 Peas Barefoot Professor"
Backing Papers:  Papermania "Silent Night"
X-Cut Punch:  Corner Rounder
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
Sizzix Die:  Winter Wonder for the snowflake
ProMarkers and Chalk
Ribbons from my Stash Box

and that is it!!

Here is the sketch if you fancy playing along.

Lovely isn't it?

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Love

It is a really lovely card, Jules, and I agree with you about the sentiment. My understanding of these sketches is that they are just meant to be diving boards. OTOH, some are more strict than others.

Your little reindeer is so compelling. Is she Olive? She looks like she needs a hug or is it just me? Is her lip quivering because her lights are tangled? They left without her? You know if I owned her, I'd have to write up her whole incredible far-fetched history! So thanks for the fun of imagining it for a couple of minutes today!! Hearts to you! Darnell

Hi Jules. Just having a mad dash round blogland to catch up with you. You sound as though your preparations are going well. I haven't braved the shops this year. All presents are hand made in view of the present climate so at least I haven't had to queue for hours in the shops!!
Your cards are really beautiful. I love this cute little deer.
Have a good week.
Hugs Lisax
