A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

ARE SOCK UNDERWEAR? - DISCUSS

Hi Everyone

I hope you have all had a good day.

Mine has moved along really well and I have got lots of orders and DT work crossed off my white board .. .. .. always a good feeling.

Today I wanted to make a bit of a "fun" Christmas card using a sentiment that I bought from Elzybells closing down sale.   It really amused me and it was one I just had to have.

The sentiment says "When you stop believing in Santa Claus you get underwear for Christmas!"

So my dilema .. .. .. do socks constitute underwear?

I couldn't decide so thought I would give it a "google".  Not a good thing to google .. .. and I just hope my hubby doesn't go into my history files on my computer or he will be wondering what I have been doing!!!  I certainly clicked quickly off one site that came up .. .. ..  there were items that I have certainly never seen my lovely hubby wearing .. .. .. LOL!!!!

Can you believe that there are even blogs discussing the subject???  But there was no fixed conclusion.  LOL!!

Anyway in the end I decided there were socks in my stamp set so I would use them .. .. underwear or not!!

After all that .. .. .. here is my "fun" creation

This used:

Underwear:  Woodware Clear Stamps "FRCL132" Looking Good
Sentiment:  Elzybells
Backing Paper:  Pink Petticoat
Underwear Papers:  Funky Hand and Pink Petticoat
Cuttlebug Die:  Snowflakes
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
Glamour Dust
Star Dust Stickles

This stamp set is great for using up the old scraps .. .. .. .. if I made about 6 million cards like this then my scrap paper drawer could be seriously reduced LOL!!  I really enjoyed cutting all the little boxer shorts out .. .. aren't I sad?!?!?!?   (No need to reply .. .. I know the answer to that one already).

Might not get to visit much tonight .. .. my lovely Sis and her partner are coming round for dinner and a bath .. .. yes you read it right .. .. a bath.  Their boiler is broken and I have volunteered them a "pamper evening"  -  plus I get to have my hair cut!!   Yay!!!

Catch you all when I do.

Love

Well underwear or not your card is gorgeous,so unique and different great. In my opinion socks are not underwear, they don't go under anything. They go inside shoes. So confusing.Your card is fab anyway.xxx

Love it! Great sentiment, and I love your interpretation of it. I guess you can class socks as underwear, since they are generally worn under trousers!

Hope you're having a good evening. xx

You are certainly getting through Christmas cards, Jules and I had to smile when I saw this one. Soaks are underwear if you wear them under trousers I would say but probably fashion accessories if you wear them like the youngsters wear them under short skirts and such like, you know those long stripy ones I mean.
What a strange thing to ponder on!!!! I like soaks for Christmas!!!! as long as Santa brings sparkly things and craft stash as well!!
Enjoy your evening.
Hugs Lisax

Hi Jules, yes if you go poking about things like that you are bound to find some odd sites out there. I do love your card its just right for a man who hates being given those sorts of things, I think my grandson would appreciate that sentiment for sure, being 30 he still things he should be treated like a big kid. Great card Jules, love all the little garments, i would enjoy sitting cutting them all out too. A real fun card for the young men. As for the scraps, you'll never see the bottom of that drawer no matter how hard you try, lol.

If you spend your day with out outer footwear (like shoes or slippers) then I guess socks are not under wear but if you usually put something on top of your socks then - as you wear the socks under shoes or slippers - they are underwear! Solved! Hugs, Lesley
