My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

YOU KNOW WHAT COMES NEXT!!!

Hi Everyone

Well we have had Valentine's Day .. .. the day has come and gone (but hopefully if you received any flowers they are still going strong) .. .. so what comes next?

Yep!!  Mothering Sunday!!!

So my makes are now turning in this direction.  Not that I have a lot of Mum's .. .. but I do know a lot of people who will be wanting cards.  So prepare for Mother's Day overload over the next few days/weeks.

Here is today's .. ..

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "2409K" Letter and Daisy
Sentiment:  Pink Petticoat
Backing Papers:  Aimee Asher
My Trusty Sewing Machine
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
ProMarkers
Ribbon from the Stash Box

I am ashamed to say that this stamp often gets overlooked when I rummage through my Penny Black drawer.  I don't know why.  I think it is perhaps because I don't like the picture that has been put onto the block as an example added to the fact that when I bought it years ago every time I used it the results were rubbish

but now I have actually used it and am happy with the results I think it will be being inked up a bit more often.

OK .. that is me.  Off to tidy up before Hubby lands home.

I have had a few deliveries today ready for some wedding orders and there are empty boxes, supplies and those foam cheesy wotsits all over the place!!

Oh .. .. by the way .. .. a few of you fell in love with the football kraft card I used yesterday.  It didn't have any manufacturer's name on it but I did buy it from here  .. .. but don't blame me if you spend your pennies on any of the other goodies too!!!

Have a good evening.

Love

Hi Jules,

I think this stamp is lovely and ideal for Mothers Day cards.

I know what you mean about the printed image because I have alot of stamps that I don't use or pick up as often just because of the covering image on the block! I can't see beyond it.

Maybe we should think of the old saying - Don't just a book by its cover, LOL.

Love Kerry xxx

This is so elegant Jules, love the soft colours & that stamp is lovely, but I know what you mean, I used a floral stamp today which I had not used for yonks & all because I couldnt colour way back when I bought the stamp in the first place & they lay languishing in a drawer. x

Hi Jules, it just goes to show that there's more to a stamp than meets the eye! I don't think I would've bought it with that pic on it but the colours you've used are so pretty & the card is just perfect for a mum. Foam cheesy wotsits! What are you like, that did make me smile.

It's a very pretty card Jules. I think sometimes we just go off our older stamps a little! I've found that Promarkers help with colouring my more difficult older stamps and give them a new lease of life! xxx

A gorgeous card Jules - your sewing is always so beautifully neat. (I always blame my sewing machine but I think the truth is that I'm a bit pants at sewing!) Vicky x

I totally agree with you, the times I have been put off buying a stamp because of the coloured image on the front but sometimes you just have to use your imagination. You've done a gorgeous job too! Love the colours xx

Wow! This is stunning Jules.

I know what you mean about the printed image on the block. I have some that insprie me but a few that put me off using them so I've stamped the image and covered the image on the block. It helps me.
