My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

SKETCH SATURDAY

Hi Everyone

Happy December to you all!!

Mine started off beautifully by finding out I had won a lovely new Penny Black stamp over at Penny Black Saturday .. .. woo hoo!!  Hopefully it will be here in time for me to use on a few of the many Christmas cards I still need to make!!

So it is December the 1st and this is where the excitement (and panic) starts.  I love Christmas!!

I am beginning to think my lovely hubby has been reading my blog in his lunch break .. .. you will remember last week I posted that just for once I wanted to be organised for Christmas.  Well one evening during the week he wanted to go and do some Christmas shopping .. .. .. and today he has got all the Christmas paraphernalia down out of the roof .. .. without even being asked!!!! and he has also been looking on-line for Christmas presents for the kids!! The decorations never come out of the roof until mid December normally!!  Crikey me!!!!

You may have noticed that I am into my sketches at the moment.  It certainly speeds up production when someone else has gone to the trouble of working out a sketch for you .. .. but also you finish up with something a little different to what you might normally make.

So thank you Sketch Saturday for coming up with another lovely sketch.  Here is my card for entering into this week's challenge.

This used:

Image and Sentiment:  Pink Petticoat "Have An Ice Christmas" (printed a set out the other evening and still have lots of these cute little characters to use up - luckily they don't take much colouring in LOL!!)
Backing Papers:  Dovecraft Back to Basics "Vintage"
Martha Stewart Punch:  Traditional Scallop
Hobbycraft Punch:  Snowflake
Nestabilities:  Large Labels
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
ProMarkers and Chalk
White Gel Pen
Glamour Dust
More of that ribbon from Lidl

and this is the lovely sketch:

So that is me for today.  Bright and early as we are off out with friends tonight.   We haven't seen them for a while so it will be lovely to catch up with them.

I'll see you tomorrow with my snippets and then next weekend it is the annual craft event in the House of Hearts .. .. label day!!!!  But more about that next week.

Have a lovely rest of the day everyone.

Love

Lovely card, Jules. Love the red gingham ribbon and the topper is great.

I take your point about using sketches for something different. It is so easy to stick with the tried and true layouts just because they are easy.

The EM has also been up in the attic and brought down the decs ... maybe there's something in the water :))

Hugs, Elizabeth xx

A great take n the sketch and hat little character is so cute. If your hubbby's been reading your blog I wonder if he's waiting for the marzipan to appear. Brilliant that he's done all that Christmas prep already. Can you send him round here when he's finished there please?
