A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

BABY CARD AND NATURE WATCH !!!

Hi Everyone

I know I posted yesterday morning but you know it seemed really weird not posting last night .. .. and it seemed a shame to take my little birthday wallet off top slot too quickly .. .. it seems ages ago since I posted last LOL!!!

Anyway, here I am now with a quick post of one of my favourite type of cards to make .. .. a new baby card!!  Awwww...  I am such a slush pot!!

Here is my creation

This used:

Image: Penny Black "2073J" Baby Hammock
Sentiment and Backing Papers:  Pink Petticoat
Josy Rose: Nail Heads
Nestabilities: Standard Circles Large, Classic Scalloped Circles Large
My Trust Sewing Machine
ProMarkers
Crystal Stickles
Ribbon and brad from the Stash Box

.. .. .. and that is my share for today.

Just off to spend a couple of hours with my Mum and put my inserts into my cards whilst I am there.

I am taking Mum some lettuce and mint out of the garden and whilst picking them just saw a garden inhabitant that has been around all week now.  A friendly frog!!   Everytime he appears he makes me jump - even though I am expecting to see it.

We have seen him every night and morning this week when we water.  He hops out from under the huge courgette leaves normally .. .. but fooled me this time by coming out from inside the runner bean wigwam!!  LOL!!! .. .. he isn't very big and quite cute for a frog.  I always turn the hose pipe onto "mist" and give him a good shower when he appears.  He seems to really enjoy it.

I will have to see if I can get a picture of him.  I think he perhaps lives under the shed come night time as that is where he eventually hops off to if we stay around in the garden too long.

We also seem to have quite a few butterflies too .. but they are quite small this year.  Last night's new butterfly was extra beautiful and I have never seen one like it before.  When its wings were together it looked silver white but when flying it was the most gorgeous violet blue colour .. .. a bit like the parma violet sweets we used to have as kids.  But no pattern on it that we could see .. .. just tiny and very beautiful.

I am going to have to take my camera outside when I do my "land duties" in future.

Have a lovely rest of Thursday everyone.

Love

What a cute baby card, lovely image beautifully coloured. When we were last in Florida we had a tiny frog by the front door that we used to check wasn't under foot when we opened the door.

Hi there Jules,

you've been crafty since I was here last time, so many inspiring creations to come back to. Today's card is absolutely gorgeous and yesterdays wallet was fantastic!

We've been away for holidays and have had a great time, sounds like you're fully enjoying your garden and it's habitants.

Love

Well, if you're a slush pot then so am I! I love making new baby cards and this one is so sweet and pretty - I wish I'd made it! More lovely stitching too.

We're getting lots of butterflies too but, as you say, they're not as big this year. We had a gorgeous bright pink one that was just perched (do butterflies perch?) on a blade of grass. I looked it up on the internet and it turned out to be a day flying moth.

Very daring frog you have there! xx

Hi Jules,

What a gorgeous card! So very pretty. Loved your nature tales too! We have a resident toad in our garden, and the occasional frog hops in. Plenty of butterflies, though not nearly as many as we used to have. The weather has been very unkind to them over the past few years. Your little blue one with silvery underwings will almost certainly be a Holly Blue, which we also get here. They're quite common. Most of the time they settle with wings closed, so you would usually only see the gorgeous blue when they're flying. There's a picture of a Holly Blue here: http://www.ukbutterflies.co.uk/species.php?species=argiolus if you want to check. Alternatively, it just possibly could be a Small Blue http://www.ukbutterflies.co.uk/species.php?species=minimus but I think that would be less likely in your area. They really are very tiny, around 2cm wingspan - the smallest resident British Butterfly. If it was a Small Blue, I'm jealous - I've never seen one of those! We did have a big brown dragonfly in the garden the other day though.

Hugs,
Lynne x

Another beautiful card,if I was into stamping this stamp would be on my wish list.
We have loads of frogs in the garden, and I'd like to think they eat lots of slugs during the night as they in turn are munching away at my lettuce. Nothing stops the little blighters, so we eat lettuce with the odd hole in.
Not many butterflies here yet, I'm hoping for a few peacocks and red admirals so I can take pictures. I took some last week of a beautiful moth called a Garden Tiger, I'll post them up next week.
Sounds like the butterfly in your garden was a common blue or a holly blue Jules, we have them here but they are so quick to fly of it's hard to identify them.
Enough for now, back to work .....

Gorgeous card Jules! One of my favourite stamps, mine's right here in front of me on a shelf and I smile whenever I look at the little hedgie! So cute about your resident frog - could be a prince in disguise! Di xx

Love your card Jules especially the pastel colours. A cute stamp & a lovely design. It sounds like you have quite a bit of wildlife in your garden as well. I'd love to see a pic of that pretty butterfly you saw today, so don't forget your camera next time.

How lovely to indulge in a little baby card making! It's very sweet - just right for a new baby girl. Your garden must feel like a spa to that frog - free showers and everything! My garden is about 1cm square and too dry for frogs, but I've managed to squeeze two buddleia into it so we have billions of butterflies - this year including some I've never seen before. Vx
(Okay I'm only kidding about 1cm - but it's not much bigger!)

Awww . . . delicate pink baby card with a sweet PB Hedgie on the front . . . what's not to like? It's lovely.

I have a frog living under feet of the bird table. I am going to blog pictures of him shortly. Luckily The Girls haven't found him yet!

A lovely card, the papers are so pretty, and the PB hedgie is just adorable! I'm admiring your straight stitching, too, when I try it goes all over the place!

Have a good Thursday!

A really cute and adorable creation Jules, it's lovely to see all these fab critters in your garden isn't it.

Maybe a frog card soon in honour of your new little friend Hehe!

Happy crafting

Love the cute card Jules. It's a lovely image and such pretty pastel colours. Your cards always make me smile!

Loved your nature story today too. I've actually seen more tiny butterflies this year than ever before and yet our garden is so neglected this year with fewer flowers than we've ever had. I am pleased that we have more Ladybirds this year that for the past few, though.

Hugs

Fab card, Jules
Frogs always make me jump too. We don't have a "proper" pond, just one of those fountains with large pebbles around it - but we still have a resident frog who lives there.
