My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

HOW LONG?

Hi Everyone

Well I cannot believe it is nearly two weeks since I made an appearance on my blog . .. . .. shame on me!!!

So much has been happening.  All good though so I can't complain!

Lots of work has arrived and departed .. . .. . .. and some has arrived and will be around for quite a while as some of my happy couples aren't getting married until next year .. .. .. but that doesn't stop us designing and ordering all the materials we are going to need to complete their orders.  It just means I need lots of storage space.

Mr Heart has been on holiday from work this week too so that has thrown a spanner into my routine and it has been a case of me grabbing time when I can to escape to my lovely crafty world.   It is no good him taking holiday and me ignoring him now is it !?!?!

Nothing I have made over the last two weeks can be shared just yet .. .. but I can share my favourite makes from this month's issue of Quick Cards Made Easy which has just gone on sale.

The first commission I was very fortunate to receive was a technique one called Distress Oxide Inks Made Easy.  I had the time of my life with this commission because alongside the fabulous Oxide Inks I used a variety of beautiful stamps from Lavinia Stamps. Hard to choose my favourite from the card collection really because I loved them all .. .. but I will go for this one

Then my second commission was also a technique one called Filigree Panel Cards Made Easy where I used scrummy First Edition Dies alongside sentiments from Digistamp Boutique

Again I could have posted all of my makes .. .. but this one was my favourite

So there we go .. at least you know I am still alive and kicking (and crafting where I can) until Mr Heart returns to work on Monday.

But there is change on the horizon .. .. Mr Heart is starting self inflicted phased retirement come the beginning of October .. .. and will be working a four day week.  No more Mondays in the office for him.

That means my Monday routine will be thrown out of the window.  I will need to draw up a new plan of attack for all I want to achieve.  But he has been warned .. .. I am not ready for slowing down any day soon.  I am having far too much fun.

The best bit of him not working on a Monday will be that he can take over the job of bringing the bins down the drive and washing them out .. .. I definitely won't miss that job!!  LOL!!

Hopefully see you soon.

Hi Jules...beautiful cards...love that fairy especially. Glad you are keeping busy and giving hubby some attention too! We have someone who comes and washes our bins every month....now how about a little part time job for Mr Heart?...he could do all the street...£2.50 a wash! That would keep him out of mischief!!...lol

Good to see you in blogland and with two lovely cards as well. Difficult to choose a favourite because they are both lovely but different - another magazine to add to my collection

Two fabulous cards, Jules. I saw all your beautiful cards in QCME, when my magazine arrived last week. You've inspired me to have a play with the Distress Oxide Inks and a few inkpads should be arriving any day. :-) xx

Two fabulous cards Jules, I love them both but have to admit to the Luna stamp being my all time favourite of Lavinia's. Enjoy the rest of you week with Mr H.

Wow, such beautiful cards, I love Lavinia, have some of the stamps, and I'll have to play with my Oxide inks, as your card is so inspirational ! The second card is stunning, with the lovely dies and bow ! How about letting Mr. Heart make the meals on Monday ? Gives you even more time to "play" :o) Love, Enny

Stunning cards Jules, so beautiful that I can't pick a favorite! So glad you didn't ignore the Mr. While he is on holiday too. How fun that he is going to be home on Mondays soon, how blessed is that?!! Enjoy him Jules and be glad you have him still in this world. Which I know you do. Big hugs, Brenda

Fabulous cards Jules, I think I might have to pick up a copy - I've just received the second set of Distress Oxides and could do with some inspiration.
It sounds like you need to find Mr Heart a hobby!

I loved all of your cards in the magazine this month Jules but especially the silhouette ones, I love when my magazine arrives and I have a little guess which of the projects are yours before I start :)
Sorry this comment is so belated I'm playing catch up again !
My hubby is planning to go down to 4 days next year too, luckily he has his big sheds where he does his metalworking so he will be planning lots of projects I'm sure lol
