A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

TEENY, TINY TUESDAY

Hi Everyone

Happy Tuesday!

I can't believe that January is into double figures already!!

Today is my teeny tiny card day, and I decided to have a go at a little technique that had been on my list a while .. .. what better way to try something new than on something super small like my 3.5" square cards.

This used:

Leane Creatif Design Embossing Folder:  Background Butterflies
Sentiment:  Crafter's Companion "Greetings - Occasions"
Penny Black Die:   51-198 Flourish & Butterflies
Spellbinders Nestabilities:  Classic Circle and Scalloped Circle
Pebble Inc:  Pearlescent Chalks
Hair Spray
Wink of Stella Pen:  Clear
My Trusty Sewing Machine
Ribbon, button and pearl
We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board

So the technique I was trying was to colour the embossed background.  I did this with the chalks .. .. which is good because if you smudge you can remove the chalk with an eraser and start again.

Once everything was coloured I then sprayed it with cheap hair spray to hold the chalk in place and then coloured on top with the Wink of Stella pen.

.. .. and that is me for today .. .. even later than yesterday!

So pretty, I love the effect of your coloured embossing, and the Wink of Stellar gives a lovely shimmer.

This is so pretty. Love the idea of using the pearlescent chalks as they are so forgivable!

That technique is certainly effective - you must have a steady hand and delicate touch

I know, where is this month going already Jules?!! I have a feeling that 2017 will zip by as fast as 2016 did! Some days that's ok, but mostly it isn't. lol Love the teeny tiny! OMGosh, I haven't did this technique in a long, long time! I used to use my chalks to chalk embossed backgrounds all the time. I think I need to do this one again! Hugs, Brenda
